Is it normal for grown man to cry to old films?

Is it normal for a grown man to shead tears or cry during parts of old 1930s and 1940s films? The parts where the tears come are the emotional moments, romantic moments, and some of the music being so great and moving. Is this acceptable?

Of course it's normal. Why would anyone think you have to be a woman or child to be able to cry at things like that?

Yes, it's normal to cry while watching certain movies or listening to certain songs.

    • Good. I am glad that there is nothing unacceptable about what I'm doing. Now I will also admit that I feel that I am blessed by having the ability to get such a warm, emotional feeling from these films that I get tears. There is something in my opinion amazing and wonderful about the 1930s and 1940s films, stories, music, and singing, and some of the Golden Age Hollywood stars.

I have not admitted any of this to anyone I know and will not admit it to anyone in person, or to anyone except on a website to people that I know I'll never see.
I also never watch these films when there is anyone around. I live alone and will not watch them when there is anyone there.

Maybe someday if you have a sweetheart that you trust you could share your fondness for old movies with her? I certainly wouldn't ever be ashamed of it. Maybe you could just think of it as your special thang?

I can't think of any particular films at this moment, but... are you a fan of Film Noir?

            • Yes, some of them are good, like with Humphry Bogart, Peter Lorr, or Orson Wells. I really like James Cagney. Some of the best ones are the films with the singing, dancing, and romance. They usually have the stars like Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers, Judy Garland, Gene Kelly, Mickey Rooney, Esther Williams, Eleanor Powell, George Murphy, Dick Powell, and I really love Ruby Keeler. I love all the names I've listed, and there are more. There's alot more detail I'd like to add to why I love all of these films, music, and stars, but it would be pages long. Who here has heard of which stars I mentioned above?
