Is it normal for a senior and sophomore to date?

I am a about to be 19 yo senior (long story, nothing to do with my academics), and I have a huge crush (my first actually) on a soon to be 16 yo sophomore. I think she likes me, I know I like her a lot, but is the age difference too big? It’s fully legal here, and (believe me or not) that stuff can wait anyway, I just want someone to talk to, hang out with, cuddle (hehe), and to love and be loved by.

No, it’s not okay 1
I guess it’s ok 6
It’s a little weird, but what the heck! 3
What are you even worrying about? It’s completely normal. 12

Don't see why not, I dated underclassmen(women?) when I was in high school myself.

Even a freshman and a senior is normal to me. 8th grader and a senior is pushing it however. A lot of times guys date girls a few years younger.

  • When I was 19 I was with a 16 year old. We still catch up 10 years later

It's totally normal. It's only three years and really that isn't that much. When you get out to about 7-10 years difference is when you start noticing things like different shows watched growing up and that sort of thing, so realistically as long as there wasn't a huge shift in pop culture during your three year difference there shouldn't be any problems. It's very common for men to be the senior in a relationship and I know a lot of happy couples that have been together for years, decades even that are in that 0-6 year sweet spot.

Dude. In the past, age differences have been a hotly debated topic at IIN. One method that gets a reasonable consensus is "half the age plus seven years". This would be 19/2+7=16.5 years. So in this case, the age gap is just under the wire. More material is available on Wikipedia under "Age of consent".

That the judgement the OP is requesting is entirely relative, and entirely subjective. It depends upon emotional adaptation, and social maturity which is different for everybody. Therefore, the issue lapses into normative readiness, and the distribution of judgements the population has about that readiness at certain ages.

I see two camps. The 18 and over camp, as well as the one half age plus seven year camp. What do you see?

            A perfectly ok relationship.

And if it's entirely subjective, what are you on about?

Political interpretation. Not that I care. Just hoping the kids have condoms should hormones cause them to get impulsive.

You're going to get pummeled by people who envy the hell out of you and dress it up as moral outrage or well-meaning concern. Never ever let anyone come between you and someone you love who loves you back. Fuck 'em.
