Is it normal for 31 yr old men to like teenage girls?

Perfectly normal, teenager girls start being attractive from 14, but its not legal (age of consent didn't exist prior to the late 19th century and child marriages were really common then, but 16 definitely isnt a child, and in many countries age of consent is 16). Just wait for her to reach 18 and if its a love from both sides go for it, lifes short, so be with who ever you want provided they want it too !

Look, you can't help who you're attracted to. As long as you can hold off until they're legal by the standards of your country/area AND can find a partner that's okay with the age gap then by all means go for it. You will certainly face hardships though. Society is very judgemental when it comes to those who live differently. Remember these two rules above all else:

- Consent is VITAL
- Abide by the age of consent laws

Is she just young an impressionable? Maybe he thinks the girl doesn't have a male role model to look up to? Maybe she confided in the 31 year old and likes to ask him questions about adulthood?

I really wish people would stop using the word pedophile incorrectly! Pedophilia (alternatively spelt paedophilia) is a psychiatric disorder in which an adult or older adolescent experiences a primary or exclusive sexual attraction to prepubescent. Although girls typically begin the process of puberty at age 10 or 11, and boys at age 11 or 12, criteria for pedophilia extend the cut-off point for prepubescence to age 13. Anyone who accuses someone of being a "pedo" for finding teenage girls (or boys) is just plain wrong and trying to put a negative label on them. It's a powerful word that's being used incorrectly only to do harm.

Yeah, what the hell would a 31 yo male have in common with a 16,18,or even 19 yo female ? But yeah, as long as legal and consensual.

When I was 16 I had a “thing” for a 30 year old. Nothing ever happened just flirting in the work place. Looking back on it, it was completely in appropriate.
