Is it normal 57 yo uncle and 25 y.o. niece share the hotel room?

My husband is 57 yo and his niece is 25 y.o. married.
They are very close and my husband walked with her years back on her wedding since her dad passed away.
Last week I was shocked to find that they two alone flew to California together to watch a football game championship.
They were together 24 hrs a day and a whole week sharing a hotel room twin bedded, though.
It is disgusting and am sick to stomach.
In my opinion uncle and adult niece should not share the bedroom together regardless.
But her mom insists that it's pretty normal to save money, nothing abnormal. Am I paranoid?

I agree with the others, the fact that he got on a plane for a week-long vacation without even telling you is incredibly odd and disrespectful behaviour. I can’t comment on what may or may not have happened between him and his niece but the fact your mind went straight to “he’s cheating with his niece” tells of a total lack of trust in your relationship. Does he have a history of infidelity?

You’re jealous, and nothing happened between them.

Leaving or going without telling or talking about it, would be a problem, sharing the room, to me, makes sense. However, if you don't trust your husband then that becomes the issue.

You were shocked to find your husband missing for a week?
Didn't he mention it to you before leaving?

No, he took off, I didn't know they were going to fly all the way to CA together.
I believe he knew it was wrong, that's why he didn't want to talk to me at all and just took off.
His niece invited him and she funded the airticket and hotel.
      Thanks.

Him taking off is really weird. There's probably nothing going on more than that. Its weird that he didnt tell you. Its actually quite wholesome that he's stepped up and raised his late brothers daughter

Well, I have to say, finding out that if i was a women and my husband and his niece were sharing a hotel room together during a trip, did give me a bit of a shock. I mean, I know they're close, but sharing a room together just seemed a bit too close for comfort. But, I guess it's all about perspective, because her mother seems to think it's perfectly normal. I mean, I guess it makes sense, saving money and all, but I can't help but feel a bit like a third wheel. But, I guess it's all in the name of family and football. I just hope they at least had separate beds, I don't think I could handle any more surprises.

It's not disgusting, that's your opinion and your opinion is not a fact.

Unusual but as long as he didn't do anything then it's fine. Just weird he didn't tell you
