So your understanding of human biology is that when you swallow your husband's semen, this somehow gets transferred to your uterus where the fetus somehow eats it? Do you also believe that when you eat a hamburger, tiny little chunks of beef patty, tomato, lettuce, ketchup, mayo and bun get into your blood and travel around your body to provide nutrients to your organs and tissues?

That's not how digestion and cellular nutrition works.

Semen is mainly water, and that will be absorbed by your body in exactly the same way as the water in everything else you eat and drink is. Semen also contains proteins which will, like all the protein you eat, be broken down into a range of amino acids and these will go into your bloodstream to nourish you and the fetus. Semen contains some sugars too, and these will be converted into glucose which will also go into your bloodstream to either be used for energy by you or the fetus or be converted into fat.

I have no idea what you mean when you say that some articles you've read say that everything you eat will be "consumed by the baby". If that were true, and you ate a normal amount for an adult, you would starve and the baby would become absolutely enormous.

Assuming normal fetal development, a fetus will take all the nutrients from your blood that it needs to grow and develop correctly. As far as the fetus's cells are concerned, they don't give a damn if the amino acids needed to create new cells and build tissues were previously in $500 a pound Kobe beef steak, a 99¢ Taco Bell Burrito or your husband's semen.

As far as continuing with analingus is concerned, that's something you might want to think more about. As long as your husband is not doing really stupid stuff or having sex with other people, you've probably already caught anything he has. But if he picks up a food poisoning bug, you licking his ass would very likely lead to you becoming ill too. As far as I know, food poisoning doesn't present a huge, direct danger to a developing fetus, but if you're vomiting and have diarrhoea, there's clearly a risk of you becoming dehydrated and you're obviously not going to be able to provide optimal nutrition to the fetus while you're puking and squitting.

Unless the doctor has specifically told you not to have sex due to concerns over infection or placental abruption, which you would definitely know about, then it's fine to continue having sex (and swallowing his "load")
