Understand American accents? When I hear people from the UK talk really fast or joking around I can hardly understand them

    No, we have so much American TV, cinema, music and other media that we are completely accustomed to American accents.

    I don’t blame you for finding some UK accents hard to understand, I personally struggle to understand very strong Scottish accents and rural English ones.

    I wouldn’t say they’re hard to understand unless they have a thick southern accent - more that their accents kind of catch me off guard.
