Is it normal to want to be in a coma

I'm so tired, really lonely, and very depressed. I read a story about a man who was in a coma for a few seconds, a minute at most, when he was assaulted. In his coma he went through school, found a girlfriend, got married to her, was married for 10 years, had a son and a daughter.

When he came round he was depressed for the next 3 years after due to realising that his family were just a dream.

I imagine myself and my family would be happier if I were in a coma.

You can't speak for anyone else. You can't speak for your family. Maybe they'd be happier if you were in a coma but the far more likely outcome would be them feeling devastated

You also need to keep in mind that a coma isn't necessarily a reset where you start with a clean slate feeling optimistic about your future. I've read accounts of people who described their experiences in a coma and some of them sound like literal nightmares, like a woman who felt like she was trapped in a coma for weeks (she was in a coma for a few months in reality) and the entire time she was in a plain white room with the ghost girl from The Grudge

You don't need to be in a coma to find success and happiness. What it sounds like is you need something to help you recalibrate
