Is it normal to want the kitchen sink empty of dishes?

Is it normal to not like dirty dishes in the sink for more than a few hours? Obviously it’s fine to have dirty dishes after cooking/ eating. But to have it in the sink for hours/ days/ weeks?? My roommates think I’m excessive.

My general rule is dishes get washed at least once a day. I often don't generate a lot of dishes as much of my home cooked frozen meals can be eaten right out of their container, and others things are fresh fruits and vegetables. A few sitting in the sink does not bother me for a day.

On cooking days I usually clean up the cook pots and dishes withing a few hours of finish cooking.

Not a big problem if you only have a few dishes.. gotta wash them before your next meal or you don’t eat.
