Is it normal to think that fertility research is a total waste of time?

Instead of trying to ensure that every man and woman can procreate, researchers should be trying to treat and cure the health issues that effect both women and men (such as cancers relating to the reproductive system). Fertility research is a big waste of money and time. The people need to realize that not everyone needs to have bio kids and no one died from not.

You are normal to have those opinions. It is also normal for someone to have the opposite opinion. You are entitled to your opinion, and everybody should respect that. You are asking if it is normal to have an opinion, and the answer is yes! I would imagine that you are likely in the minority opinion on this particular issue though.

I don't think it's a waste of money or time. It's lucrative, isn't it? And the research and advances made can benefit society as a whole. A lot of things the average person uses or enjoys comes from scientific exploration in all fields.

I think people should be able to have whatever kids they want. It might bother me to see certain people having kids but IT'S NOT MY BUSINESS and interferring in that is not my place. It's one of those things you have to let go. There's no objective line we can draw to say who gets kids and who doesn't so don't even try to.

Adopting is sooooo different than having your own children and the whole adopt argument is just not valid here.

And some people surely die from not having bio kids. Undiagnosed illnesses and suicide to name 2 ways. My mom had cervical cancer which likely wouldn't have been noticed (or not noticed in time) if she hadn't accidentally got pregnant with my little brother.
