Ask Your Question
Over the course of many months is it normal to take pictures of old receipts most of which are just blank scraps of paper?
I meant to say not normal.
Sounds like you should talk to a psychiatrist
Sounds really artistic. A comment on mass consumerism perhaps?
It's normal if you have store warranty on an item which is BS most of the time.
I used to collect receipts that I found on the ground or in trolleys etc. Because I was nosey and wanted to see what other random people would buy.
No it sounds like you have ocd real bad
I had old receipts dating back from 2010 because it was taking up space in my house I had to throw a big majority of them away.
God that reminds me of my grandma for taxes every year. Absolute insanity
I can kinda relate to this a little bit. It sounds like OCD, and like a coping mechanism for when they actually throw away the old receipts. That's just my opinion of course.
Yeah I'm a hoarder and trying to throw the receipts away. I am taking pictures of everything I want to throw away.
Ask yourself WHY
Because on some of them there are faded names of restaurants or movies with dates, or specific groceries which are memories, and on some of them I can increase the contrast in Photoshop and see more. Also a lot of them are family members' receipts cause I was helping them with taxes. Since I don't know until I use Photoshop I have to take a picture of each one. Even though a majority are completely blank.
I mean in your mind, why you feel the need? Is it emotional connection? Sense of control? Fear?
Honoring memories I guess? Nostalgia?
