Is it normal to procrastinate showers?

I shower in the evening, so often, after a long day, I'm tired and irritated and I always end up showering at midnight or later. Of course I go to sleep later, because of my hair, and in the morning I wake up even more tired than the day before.
It doesn't matter how many times I think that if I shower now I will be able to rest after and to go to sleep earlier and in the morning I'll feel great, I never do it.
It has been going on for a while and I'm worried of it becoming a habit.

Is It Normal?

  • Definitely. I have been procrastinating my shower for the last 2 months. I just don't feel like doing it. I don't smell or have irritation, so I just don't care to shower anymore.

  • Yeah I think it’s normal. Maybe put an armchair in there

  • Normal to procrastinate bathing. Unless certain circumstances, I normally shower once a week. I’m a stay at home mom so it’s not like I’m getting dirty.

However I don’t see how a shower is affecting your sleep cycle.

  • Is it that you do not like showering, or dread going to sleep, because when you wake up it's just another damn day of the same bullshit all over again.

  • This post is offensive and extremely disrespectful to people with fatal familial insomnia.

  • It makes me late for work a lot because I wake up for work at 1:30am and I put off taking the shower until 10 minutes before I leave. I hate that moment of coldness when you first get in the shower. Once im in the shower I wonder why i didnt let myself get in sooner because it feels good. I have to rush.
