Is it normal to not want to live even when you're not depressed?

It's not a feeling like I'm going to go out and do something about it, it's more like the feeling you get when the waiter comes by and asks if you're up for dessert but all you really want is to pay the check and go home. That's how I feel about life in general, a kind of "Thanks, but no thanks" feeling towards the idea of living into my 60s or 70s

  • So you don’t feel like a party all the time. That’s perfectly normal. Look around you, the streets are not overflowing with whiskey and minstrels. It’s called peace or something like that. But you can live a relatively satisfying life into your old age. Don’t go killing yourself now. To be or not to be. “To be” definitely. Life is definitely the brighter choice.

    • Maybe like, passive depression? I don't actively WANT to die, but if I was told that tomorrow I would die I feel like I honestly don't know how I would respond to the news, just that I would probably feel at least a little relief
