Is it normal to mess up soup when it's my first time making soup?

For lunch I was making some gizzard soup and I made this dumb mistake by putting too much chilli flakes and chilli powder, I've never made a soup and I blame myself too much for messing it up.

its not that hard once you get it but it takes a shitloada practice to get there

ive found that if they stick with it women make better welders since it takes the fine coordination and concentration that helps women have overall better handwriting than men

women helped win ww2 by weldin

I remember a dude telling me I should train for that over 15 years ago in Las Vegas.

I have a hard time not breaking soup. But most the time you can fix the seasoning part by just adding more water. If you add more water, add some flour to thicken it.

Of course it’s normal to mess up a recipe your first time. Hint from an ex pro cook: weigh out all your ingredients before you start for 3 reasons
    1) to be sure you have everything
    2) to take your time and measure out the right amounts
    3) to not interrupt the cooking process which could cause you to burn it and ruin the whole thing

    Good luck!

Hahaha soooo normal! Done that a lot! About seasoning any kind of food I can tell you that it's wiser to go a little at a time. You can't really unsalt anything for instance. When you add any strong ingredient you should try it first but only after you've given it enough time to incorporate into your dish and develop its flavor. When you taste it right away you're not tasting the real result that you'll get after the adequate cook time... happy cookings, don't give up! ;)

Pretty much anything that requires genuine effort you do on the first attempt is going to suck. Don't beat yourself up over it.
