Is it normal to hug my pillows when i'm scared?

I hug my pillows tightly because I feel scared off my own dreams and scared of footsteps, it also results in me not even being able to sleep as a result, I know I shouldn't be scared as an adult and I know people might judge me for this but I legitimately do this every single day. The dreams I get are either nightmares and whatnot. I also know my question sounds like an already existing post but I like i said hug it when I have excessive amounts of fear.

Examples of the nightmares that trigger me doing this is when I get nightmares of:

- Death ( examples of this is homicides, suicides and filicides. )
- Being confined in a place where I don't want to be ( stuck somewhere ).

Am I normal?

I met Satan in a dream once, and he looked just like that pouf Satan on South Park, and I told him he was a douchebag right to his face, and walked away from him. Satan was wearing a a dress like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz.
