Is it normal to have romantic dreams about someone you're not interested in?

Last night it was the second time. I've had two dreams now about this girl in my class that I've barely even spoken to. Both have been romantic-y, but not sexual. In the first one, We were sort of together in a room and half-naked and flirting and being suggestive to each other, but nothing happened. And in the one last night, we were talking, she was upset about something and I was comforting her, she tried to kiss me but I turned away because I have a girlfriend.

Yeah I have an IRL girlfriend but in the first dream it was like she didn't exist but in the second, I was conscious of her existence.

I have a feeling this is probably normal and all brains are just weird like this sometimes.

I'm a believer in the idea that it is too direct for most of us to dream our feelings for people while seeing them.

So while we are dreaming our real feelings, they are not for the person in the dream.

For the most part dreams are either artsy trippy representations of some genuine feelings of things we have. Like if i fear my parents in real life then in some of my dreams of them they are scary characters etc.

But honestly sometimes your dreams are just purely weird shit that arent supposed to be taken seriously i think cause its literally your brain just fuzzing around with random stuff in your head. Like ive dreamt about people i dont really like that much either but in the dream they were in a positive light.

Truth is our dreams dont affect our real lives anyways, so i guess its not that important.

I once had a dream where I was messing around with David Caruso.
