Is it normal to have mixed feelings about birthdays?

Somenormie here, I just turned 20 today and I have lately been having mixed feelings about birthdays.

On one side I'm feeling somewhat exicted though I do not smile too much about it

However....

On one side I hate it as in hating birthdays.

Do you ever feel like this?

Let me know.

[I always get a little sad on my birthdays, I don't know why.]

Happy birthday there fellow Scorpio! I just turned 53 on the 14th of November. I think mixed emotions are normal with regard to birthdays. I don't like getting old, but it's better than the alternative!

It's normal. On one hand a birthday means you're getting older. On the other hand it means free stuff such as people saying Happy Birthday and giving gifts. Sometimes free food.

I felt depressed on my 20th birthday because it marked the beginning of me being a so-called "adult" and no longer a "teenager." I tried to remain optimistic however. But my fears would be confirmed.
