Is it normal to get feelings (and tastes) mixed up

For example is it normal to cry when you agree with something, and for empathy (and sometimes hunger) to feel the same as sexual arousal?

Some of my feelings also have "tastes". When I push the back of my teeth with my tongue it feels like I'm eating cocoa pebbles. And every now and then I get this feeling that i am full of milk even when I haven't drank any. One time I almost got in a car wreck and it tasted just like red bell peppers.

This is not a joke is it normal or what is this?

    • Synesthesia has to do with letters/words/sounds having tastes/colors/smells. Can't find any reference to it having to do with feelings/emotions having flavors.
