Is it normal to feel scared when a delivery man outside my house knocks?

Whenever I order something and the delivery man comes knocking on my door, I easily get jumpscared.

But then I calm down after receiving the item and tell myself it was just a delivery man.

Is this normal to have that feeling?

      Or a pizza delivery person to a house filled with milfs. Or dilfs depending on the sex of the pizza delivery person and orientation.

    I myself have a nasty trauma related disorder, and things like the FedEx guy ringing the doorbell or the pizza guy knocking on the door has shaken me up pretty badly more than once.

    Have you tried journaling about these feelings? It sounds like anxiety or a heightened reaction due to... experience. If you have a therapist, I'd also suggest bringing it up to them. They may be able to help you further and give you resources to prevent this kind of thing from happening.

      I have never documented any of my feelings so I may need to do that before I see my therapist.
