Is it normal to feel light headed after two sips of beer

Just tried alcohol for the first time like 5 minutes ago, stopped after 3 sips because I was already feeling light headed, my head is also starting to throb as I am typing this, is it normal for first time drinkers?

P.S
It tastes bad.

  • No, that is not normal at all. Are you on a lot of medications? Is it possible that someone could have slipped you something in your drink?

    • I'm taking PTU for my thyroid problem, and I'm home alone drinking from a freshly opened can of beer

      • Then maybe you just don't like beer? At least you weren't drinking in a bar with some creep hitting on you.

  • Roofie

    • What is that

      • It's when you slip something into someone's drink to try to drug them in an attempt to make them disoriented or sleepy.

        Aka the date rape drug.

But since you said you were drinking alone at home it seems that that wasn't it.

  • Not normal. Even the lightest drinkers I've ever met needed at least one or two full beers or more.

    • The light headedness only persisted for a moment after taking a sip, it's not for long, maybe that's normal

      • The only things I can think of then since it wasn't a roofie is that it was an adverse reaction to medication or some weird placebo effect.
