Is it normal to cry several times a day after quitting anti depressants

But not be particularly depressed, just feel really fucking irritated to tears over everything? Maybe my mind had just forgotten what it feels like to have any feelings at all? is it normal And does this eventually go away? It's been like a week since I've taken them and this just started a couple days ago.

I was off of Cymbalta for about six weeks, and I felt awful, just awful. I did, however, have more drive when I was off of it.

Yeah, having significantly more energy was pretty cool, but kinda weird too. I hated the way I felt whenever I woke up though. As soon as I woke up I would immediately feel massive anxiety, it was awful.

It's a normal side effect from going cold turkey from them. It may be another week, maybe two before you are feeling like yourself again.

I have never taken anti-depressants but I have heard over and over about the numbness of feeling associated with them. This is probably just getting back to coping with strong emotion, if it continues you should see a doctor however

Different people react in different ways. After her divorce, my hot older sister was down, and given anti's to deal with it. She wasn't a pill person, so only took them sporadically, but, once off..Didn't cry or anything. In fact, hardly did anything. Had a flat, ok but no energy, affect for weeks. Would say she was ok, fine, with an almost robotic tone. She snapped out of it, but for a good maybe 6 weeks, there was nothing there. She only realized after returning to her normal, high-energy self.

We were in her car on the way back from a short road trip one humid afternoon, and, she opened her button-down shirt almost the full way, saying it was too damn hot, I'd seen her boobs before, etc..As she did that and drove, she mentioned how free it was, and, "I'd never be able to do this when I was on those anti-depressants that time". Just said it out of the blue.

Yeah happened to me when I went off my meds, I thought it was because I could finally feel emotions again and it was overwhelming xD
Life is much better without them imo
