I thought we were past this as a nation . But I have noticed out in public and on facebook and other websites people referring to lesbians and gays as pedofiles that want to defile kids, which is hurtful and not true.

That the gay marriage act should be repealed and we should be denied rights to jobs and apartments etc. I had some well dressed man at starbucks ( the grandkids and their parents like to go there) come up to my table in front of my family and say he can't wait until trump and pence do God's work make us get gay therapy for our sickness.

He was asked to leave but It was very embarrassing and a little scary. I don't like this hate rhetoric that seems to be getting popular again for anyone that is different.It is not very American.Is there anything I could do about it? I thought about sending a postcard to the white house.

    it will always come and go.
    People keep saying ''in this day and age'', but it doesn't mater what age people are the same.

    The only thing that really changes from time to time is what people hate.

      You cant dismiss this like homosexuality isnt a sin. It has more to do with being "trendy" or "being different"

      Homosexuality is a sin. Its part of morales and not just something thats trendy in a person

    To be honest, there's really nothing that can be done about it. People have always hated what's different or what goes against their values.
    My town has crazy people in it too. Depending on which part of town it is it's either:
    homophobic, racist against Hispanics/African Americans, and they spout "if you don't follow MY religion I hate you."
    or
    overly emotional, racist against whites, that spout "if you don't agree with my political points you're a Nazi and I hate you."

    Both sides are pretty funny to listen to. XD

    It is fucking stupid to hate and not ok just because fucking president cheeto does it.Sorry you have to deal with this shit.Dunno why people care what two consenting adults do in their own private life or what color someone is.

    There is enough crossover between gays and pedos for there to be some sort of correlation, but it's certainly not the norm. As far as society goes, expect the West to go pro-life and pro-peace, with nationalism making a resurgence.
