Why does almost every single person seem like a idiot? Why is everyone either taking shortcuts or is just plain incompetent?
I think most governments don't want to breed clever people. Clever people would see through every lie that the government told. What governments want are people who are just smart enough to operate machines and do the task at hand, but just dumb enough to keep accepting the same bullshit at every election, and have a massive fear of change.
The result is a society with an average IQ of 100-120.
To be fair though, the average IQ has to be 100 by definition ..lol

The "average" IQ is the IQ of everyone in a respective country, divided by its' population. It has nothing to do with the number 100.

Yeah, that's absolutely true about the average. But average intelligence is how the test is calibrated in the first place. They compare your intelligence to the average intelligence of someone your age. So if you score 100, by definition you have the average intelligence of someone your age.
So across all ages, the average IQ in acountry should be 100.
If it's not, either the test isn't calibrated correctly. Or they're using some method other than the original [(mental age) / (actual age) X 100] way IQ tests were calculated.
So basically, it's because it's a relative score comparing you to everyone else. And on that scale, 100 is defined as right in the middle of everyone.

It's a thing where stupid people think they are smarter than everyone and smart people think that are stupid.
Not saying this is you but it applies to an awful lot of people I know.
What I always hated as a kid was when I would say something that went over someone else's head, and then the stupid person would have the nerve to look at me like I'm crazy, because if some asshole doesn't understand I have to automatically be deemed the stupid one for sake someone's ego.
I like it when people are honest, and say if they don't understand something. I also don't mind admitting if I don't understand something, or if something goes over my head.
I don't actually know of course, but I wonder if this Dunning Kruger Effect is common on middle school campuses?

Taking shortcuts is extremely idiotic, I mean it in the sense of contractors who take jobs only to deliver half-baked products that fail on the first touch, those kinds of shortcuts, and they are plenty
Um...you do realize there are shortcuts that can be taken and achieve the same quality and quantity as the original objective?

I think the real problem with your belief is that you believe yourself to be somehow superior to them. From the way you talk I'm gonna take a stab at this.
Mediocre Intelligence, probably decent working A student with a moderately high IQ, not above 140, but you went on to be a good mediocre adult. You've been told more than once that you excelled at things but you were never smart enough to appreciate the hard work that went into it because you were too busy thinking you were the one doing the hard work.
I feel like I probably nailed that...That aside...you're not wrong, there are lots of people that aren't very smart...but instead of capitalizing on that and trying to give people experience and knowledge you just huff and puff and think, "I'm so much smarter than they are and I do such better work." So you're really just as dumb as they are because you perpetuate it by not being smart enough to fix it.
The last question is...what crawled up your butt? Did someone do something and you're like, I can't believe this person messed this up! But...why were they doing it in the first place and not you? Did you not even know enough to do it yourself? Are you working in a low end job and taking your mediocre life complaints out on people here?
Bravo brother. that was farely accurate apart from a few things. My winning streak is still on. Am still in the top 0.1 percent for my age in terms of stuff that actually matters. But you wonder why I all of a sudden think everyone is an idiot. Let me clarify, I never always felt this way, but recently my awareness has improved and somehow I can observe so much bullshit going on. I can pick bullshit in every major newsbreak story, look at the facebook drama what were they thinking, look at research papers and you will see so much poor methodologies and unfounded conclusions (the human species will split into 2, tall and intelligent vs short and dump huh!!!!), I look at whole populations like how chinese and indians see white people as gods, just examples, so much dumpness it drives me crazy
