Is it normal that people really are sheeple?

So a few years ago, people were proud of gays earning the right to marry, supporting transgender, equality, not having problems with immigrants, everybody was equal.

But now that there is the bigot team, Trump and Pence in office, all the sudden the narrow minded assholes are coming out of the wood work?

My experience is this - I am transgender, have lived this since 2010, and had very few problems for years. Now all the sudden there seems to be problems, people are being assholes about it more now than ever before.

Of course we know the Trump administration hates blacks, latinos, muslims, transgender. For some reason though he hasn't attacked gays or gay marriage YET.

It is just weird that society is so easily persuaded. One year it is all about "love wins" and the next it is "No one has rights except straight white people."

What the hell gives?

It's because lately, transgender people and these mentally ill people calling themselves non binary cacti and shit, are being really fucking obnoxious about it, while being different groups are put into the same category.

People generalise people who identify as something they're not born with as a whole group and while there are transgender people who simply had a sexchange and took their hormones, there's obnoxious little shits shouting triggered at everyone who doesn't immediately go along with whatever shit they come up with the day before.

God forbid you'd even accidentally call them a male when they're fully bearded and their bulges showing, excuse us for not recognising the pronoun you made up 10 minutes ago.

These people are an obnoxious bunch and they COMPLETELY ruin it for people who just want to change their sex and leave it at that.

I have no respect for this particular idiotic group of people and I recognise that it's completely different from being transgender and just going with hormone pills and a sex change. I see that there's a difference, but the general public doesn't.

The thing is, it didn't just go from people being "loving" to "hateful", those hateful people were there all along during Obama's presidency and before. Now they are coming out of the woodworks because their nationalist leader says it's okay.

Ok so what about the ones like myself who do their best to bother NO ONE yet still deal with stares or hostility at times?

yeah people can see I am TG but I haven't made up any "special" pronouns. I bother no one when out and about.
I think my main concern is i do not need anyone trying to tell me how to live or bothering me period.

What if I told you that you were the one being persuaded, OP? You were so persuaded, so manipulated, that you now believe yourself to be a woman. I can't imagine any greater form of persuasion, can you?

In an honest note: seek help. Your problems are not solved my make-believing you're something your not. The suicide rate among transgenders is too high to mess around. The problem isn't you were "born in the wrong body" but you are "depressed and seeking the wrong solution".

Transgenders are depressed and seeking the wrong solution. The problem is compounded when they take hormone-altering drugs. The fastest way to get a natural born male to kill himself is to reduce his testosterone and increase his estrogen.

Sorry, but you shoot into the brown when claiming something like this while not having anything to do with it. Tell me, on what level is it your business what they decide to do? Are you one of these transpeople? Are you a biologist, doctor, a psychologist? Have you studied medicine? Do you even know enough of these people to assume such things?
For if not, I may say you better leave anything concerning this topic and toast your blooming eyebrows, my friend. Watching documentaries that for sure don't cover all the truths of a still to be examined phenomenon or reading gossip rags that plead to be accepted as a valuable source of information are not considered as worthy knowledge.
          Have a good one!

A "still to be examined phenomenon" is certainly one way to describe it. How about doctors stop handing out hormone drugs like candies until the effects have been more thoroughly researched?

Why the hell are we giving kids (<18 years old) these dangerous, life-altering drugs?

I suppose I do understand your concern and seeing that each country on this world does handle it differently when there has to be a decent way to approach the task of helping people with this strange yet so present phenomenon harrows my mind. However, I intuit restricting medication to a certain age will not serve the purpose.
Not being a total utilitarian, I truly wish there to be a safe diagnostic analysis as soon as possible so that there will be no more children and adults to be misdiagnosed with something that they don't bear in order to spare them from unnecessary and in that case harmful alterations.
Additionally, those who have not already heard of it or were influenced by half-truths and phobics need to be informed by first or second hand as it should be done for umpteen other things. But the same way information is important, it shall under no circumstances be forced upon people the kind it is nowadays. Forcing it into throats of non-participants only leads to a rise of the stressed out, the disgusted and the haters as we should have learned (at least) by now.
When the cause is found, official and world-wide laws need to be made that ensure no otherwise healthy person (or one with different issues) is treated. Until then we may follow the path of true justice.
I cannot order anyone but for me it sure is to help people figure out their path in life avoiding decisions that will harm them without entirely leading.

Look at Presidential history. It's usually 8 years Democrat, 8 years Republican. Why?

Most people hate extremes! They want to live in peace and be left alone.

Stop watching the news and spreading bullshit and just live your life.

People may indeed be sheeple but that was only the title of your post, not the content.

The idiots that were silent are not being encouraged to shout their bitterness and because their voices are the only voices we hear we tend to believe that people are becoming more hateful. Maybe this is tru to some extent, especially when it commes to immigrants but when it comes to sexual preferences I believe that people rarely go from being tolerant to intolerant. It just doesn't make sense.

I don't know where this world is heading but things do not look good. Be strong!

It doesnt mean they switched sides. It means they know since thier leader is on thier side they have more support to come out and bluntly state thier opinion. Its the same number of supporters but you only hear those who share a belief with the athority figure.

I think it's because people go on about it so much now. It's rammed down our throats so much that it's hard not to form an opinion. I used to think that everyone was just getting on however they needed to and tried not to pass judgement, but now I feel like I'm being dragged into other people's business so much that it makes me dislike things that I used to not give a fuck about.

Sexual preference or whatever gender you want to be says absolutely nothing as a person. The only reason it's an issue is that it divides people over something unrelated to any solveable problem they could get mad about. Most people are brainwashed idiots who get all mad about what they see on the news, and all this stuff about people identifying as cats and other stuff is just bullshit to get people riled. Nobody cares what you do at home unless they're retarted.

Don't watch the news, don't listen to the radio, don't listen to your church or scientists. You're meant to pick a choice from a bunch of column As and Bs and vote for an actor to take your money and say they're taking care of your interests when they don't know you. Think independently.

"Don't listen to scientists"? Really? Oh right, good idea, let's all ignore all the scientific evidence for climate change and environmental destruction.

When did I mention climate change? Science is a religion, believing something because a smarter better person figured out and you're crazy if you don't accept it. How is science more credible than scientology?

Are you seriously suggesting that scientology is based on research? Science is a method of investigation, not a religion

Your argument only rings true for people who are uneducated in matters that are important to them. This is a choice. Scientists aren't a secret club of mystical beings, they are normal people who live normal lives. Most of the people I know are scientists of some description (just because of my career and lifestyle choices). So for any of us, and anyone else who cares enough to do proper scientific research, it most certainly is not some silly "religion". Every day scientists work hard to try to disprove their own theories, and that's how science works in the long-term. It's very accessible for anyone who cares enough to ask a simple question. Go and learn a few things about the issues that are important to you, then you'll know for yourself how things are without some "smarter better person" having to explain it to you. There is nothing stopping you from doing this.

Apart from the scientist thing I very much agree with your original comment. People should stop focusing on boring shit like gender and sexuality. DILLIGAF. Let them eat their asexual cis gender cake, as long as they do it quietly.

Realizing that things are unknowable does not mean someone is uneducated. In fact, scientists know that everything they learn will one day be proven incorrect to some degree or another.

It's built into their philosophy as you stated so it IS a religion. The belief/faith being that it will ultimately find the truth. It won't.

The thing I dislike about science is the pomp at which you put yourself above others, even tho you yourselves know, your discipline is futile.
