Is it normal that my parents didn't come to give me a ride?

I had French classes until 9PM.
My mother called me from 9:10 to 9:20 but because I still had my phone on silent from the class I didn't hear it. I called her at 9:30 and she told me they wanted to wait for me, but "tough luck" since I didn't hear my phone.
I walked for a bit, then went to get the bus to home from the other side of town, but missed the last one, which left at 10:30 PM. It is a 6km (~4 mile) walk to my house and it was late at night so I called my dad to come pick me up (this is a good moment to mention that when I signed up for French classes he volunteered to come pick me up, but sometimes I got the bus anyway).

My mother answered instead, and told me that "Since you don't hear your phone, your dad doesn't either". I asked her to pass him the phone, to which she replied "No" and hung up.
I called again later and my dad started yelling at me and told me to go sleep at a friend instead.

When I asked them if I could sleep at my friend after French classes, since I got out late, they wouldn't let me. But suddenly it's fine.
I'm just so angry right now.
