Is it normal that my clothing style is still stuck in 2006?

In 2006 I wore low rise black cargo pants, a pyramid studded belt, a tank top that I'd sometimes layer with a long sleeved fishnet shirt, wrist bands, a choker, black sneakers, and I'd have a wallet chain on. My fashion sense hasn't seemed to change since then. Every other chick I know is wearing high waisted pants and baggy shirts. I'm guessing that's the current style or something. I haven't kept up with trends nor do I care to. Is it normal I'm still buying the same type of clothes since 2006?

It would've been great if it's still normal nowadays to wear fancy clothes from the Victorian era.

I dress however I like in whatever is comfortable and suits my mood. Why worry about something as tenuous as "style", which is made up to get people to chuck their "out of date' clothing and buy more? That's for suckers in my opinion.

I had a big cleanout during lockdown and was delighted to find lots of clothing I'd forgotten I owned, the very best surprise of all being a pair of aqua tracksuit pants which I bought second hand (originally from Target) back in the late 70's. Nobody makes tracksuit pants to last like that these days!

I get most of my clothing from goodwill. Not because I'm poor, I'm was just raised frugal. Who needs to pay 55 bucks for a good button up?!

I do not even know the difference in style between 2006 and now.

I would probably dress much the same way if I could.

Sounds good to me, modern fashion is so boring, all calm colours and minimal accessories. Bring back the craziness of the 2000s I say.

High waisted are not comfortable. I don’t want them back in. But I don’t like skinny jeans.

I still dress like it's 1994. I think it's because that's what was cool when I was first old enough to buy the clothes that I liked and feel like myself, so it's always stuck in my head as the "best" style.

I wear whatever's available at JC Penney minus the plaid. Constantly snipping away at loose threads and fuzz balls from the cheaply made fabric.
