Is it normal that i think socialists are just whiny losers who envy rich people

I am not rich myself. As a matter of fact, I could be considered to be a really poor person. However, I am not a socialist. Socialists are poor people who hate the rich, and they hate them because they envy them.

Most ‘socialists’ are college students from middle class families who would piss and moan if someone took their iPhones and they had to live under real socialism

Same. I think people deserve food and a chance to be successful but I do not believe in any more than that. I do want to take care of people with mental illness tho. Many individuals struggle with that.

I'm not a socialist myself, (I think it's a bad system), but I don't think it's to do with envy. Socialists are people who genuinely think they're in the right. In their minds they're trying to help people and correct the injustices of the world.

The types that you find who generally gravitate that movement you find they're typically "weaker" men; the low testosterone "nice guys" who get bullied and often find themselves victims of the world. Naturally they feel a lot of injustice from the world, heyy, they've experienced it themselves. So in their minds it makes sense that there is a legitimate grievance to be had with a system of oppression that they're just trying to right.

I think the "loser" elements holds true by and large, but I don't think they're envious, more so they're just upset and outraged with a system they see as fundamentally unfair to the weak.

I never had a problem with rich people until I started living near them. I'm not talking about super star rich, or kings and queens rich, I mean multiple homes rich, multiple holiday homes rich, not your average hard working income..

I have found these people to have the most entitled mind set ever, these people can not stand being told what to do, they remind me of god dam children having tantrums. Everything they do is to have one up on their neighbour, they need the bigger caravan, the bigger boat, the more expensive car bla bla. They are the most nosiest people I have ever met, they are the most judgiest people I have seen.. I can't believe they got wealthy or could even hold down a job!

I didn't know any until I worked for a house cleaning agency years ago: teenage daughters who were about to go off to Switzerland to finishing school whose "pocket money" for the week was more than the government gave me to support myself and my daughter. A friend pointed out that while I was learning how rich people live, never expect them to know how poor people live!

At another time I worked in a legal office where most of the partners were filthy rich and oh, they had such problems, like whether to take the family to their house in Tuscany or to the snow for a holiday ..... one of them warned me very rudely not to scratch the table in his office, which turned out to have cost more than my house! Another very rich partner nearly had an nervous breakdown and went on and on about it for days when he lost his umbrella.

And by the way, I am a socialist of the anarchist variety, and would still be one even if I became rich, because my philosophy isn't just about money, it's about fairness and justice, especially for the most disadvantaged in society.

I believe in natural rights. You are not entitled to food nor water. What you are entitled to is your continued exsistance and whatever ideas you want to say.

Imagine being alone in the woods. Wheres your human right of healthcare? What about your right of food? What about your right of water? It wont be provided to you because those "rights" require other people to do work.

What are rights you do have in the woods are saying whatever the fuck you want. Self defense of yourself and others. As well as the right to be happy doing what you want to do within reason.

Life, liberty the pursuit of happiness.

You need to do work to eat. In the forest you do this by collecting nuts or hunting animals. You can drink from any water source you want in the woods (just watch out for dysentery)

When you make people work for you, you need to pay them. Back then it was through a barter system, now we just use money as a medium for value of work. If you want to someone to do work and you dont pay them what is it called? Theft. At worst slavery.

Now a welfare system is something I can get behind if it is ONLY used by those in legitimate need.

ok, you can't afford any land.
the wilderness is all owned by corporations, with the police in their pocket.
      How free are you now?
You can not hunt, fish, trespass or live, in " The woods "
      Now what?
You love to think you can just go be an independant mountain man.
Quit talking trash and go try it.
      Check back in a year.
Heck, I might accept your collect call from some private prison you find yourself in.

Live in a commune. Those exist in america because people want to live there... unless its owned by a cult.

They do still exist but they dont label themselves as communes because that has some baggage to the name they perfer to be called "egalitarian” or “intended” communities. They are scattered around so If you actually wanted to find them it's pretty easy with the internet.

70% tax on anyone above $1m annual.
    Term limits for all.
    End the supreme court.
    End the electoral college.
    End straw polls.
    End ballot boxs.
    End citezens united.
    End fillibusters.
    End the veto.
    Open transparancy to the bills.
    That's a start.
    It won't happen, so.
I sit back and watch you fail.

All governments are evil, and there's no reason for rich people to exist past a certain point. I 100% believe there should be a maximum amount of money anyone is allowed to have at once.

Same. Although I do agree with some socialist ideals. Like everyone being taxed the same percentage. And that every citizen have maybe 6 months of military training.

No, I think rich people should be taxed even more. I mean we all are born on this earth and rich people have a better life then most others so they need to pay for that shit.

6 months military training? We already force nearly 20 years of schooling that is monitored by the government.

Do you think you should be taxed more also? Living in America working minimum wage puts you in the top 1% in terms of worldy income. We complain over whos richer while the majority of the world has no plumbing or running water. We have it too good in America and thats why we are so weak.

I couldn't care less about other countries, I care for my own backyard. Those living in them squalor parts of the world have nothing to do with my countries taxes. And to reply to what you are trying to say, yes, I already pay a lot more taxes then them because they don't pay taxes, cause they live in shanty towns and shit and piss out their front door.

No, I want them taxed more because they leave a bigger foot print on the earth. They consume more, they pollute more.
I don't like them, its not envy, there is a big difference. I don't like their attitude and judgements.

At the end of the day in most situations you pay for "better", They can afford to pay more for a better life then what most others have. Just because they are wealthy does not at all mean they have worked harder. Look at how underpaid our labourers are compared to someone wearing a suit sitting on their ass all day.

Well, it won't happen. Rich people are notorious for their ability to save money in any way - tax or not. They can just either figure it out themselves or hire someone to get them the best "deal" on their taxes where they pay the least and keep the most.

Another thing they tend to do is leave the country and start doing business in other countries with cheaper taxes. Kind of like what happened with China.

Yeah, back in the day, when taxes were super high for rich people (like 20-50%), the rich just hired people to find as many loopholes as possible and abuse them as much as possible, to the point where some of them were paying lower percentages than the poor.
