Is it normal that i don't love my partner

is it normal that i'm married but am more sexually attracted to moldy food that's fallen behind the refrigerator? when we make love I imagine i'm doing it with a friend of his or a family member or even one of my family members or the corpse that was found in Lake Mead a few months ago. i just hate him so much and think he's disgusting which is why i don't feel bad about cheating on him all the time

It is quite normal to fantasize about other partners when having sex (multiple studies verify that). That does not mean that you don't love your partner. It means that they are no longer the mental sexual titillation that you need (even as they satisfy you physically).

As for the other kinds of love that need to exist in a relationship to make it last: I suggest that you get and read the book: "The 5 Love Languages" by Gary Chapman

I actually suggest that people get 2 copies, and each partner reads it. Then act on what each of you have learned. It changes things dramatically for the positive.

Note that usually that people read at different speeds. Not a problem as long as each is progressing thought the book within a reasonable period.

Refusal to read the book is an indication of a failed relationship, and often beyond repair.

So why don't you end the relationship?

Just get divorced. Clearly, its overdue. I truly despise anyone who acts in such a manner. Extremely immature & selfish. What's even more shocking is the fact that you still continue to have sex with him, although supposedly he repulses you? That's hard to believe because in every failed relationship that I'm aware of, including my own once failed marriage, the sex ended long before the actual divorce occurred.

You sound like someone who is yucky on the inside. Why did you even marry him?
