Is it normal that a lot of people hate me because of something i like?

A lot of people think I’m ‘weird’ or ‘cringey’ because I like roleplaying and that I make a lot of OCS. Most of the people that say I’m weird are mainly people I meet online, but there was this one kid at my school that rolled his eyes at me and my friend for no reason (I’m sorry if that wasn’t necessary to add). It makes me really sad whenever someone is mean to me because of something I like, and I try my best not to cry. But are the things I like really that weird?

    Someone’s gonna judge you no matter what you like, it’s just learning to ignore them. If it’s not hurting anyone then who cares.
