Is it normal sudden severe issues with foods textures

I am autistic but ive never struggled with eating due to textures like a lot of autistic people do.
However about 2 years ago during the height of the pandemic I suffered very severe health anxiety which resulted in almost constant giant lumps in my throat caused by anxiety. Ever since then ive had trouble eating because ive gotten really bad sensory issues related to texture. I cant eat certain things due to its texture and it reminds me of a friend I had who has selective eating disorder, he was on the spectrum as well. He struggled eating meat for example if it wasnt completely smooth without any lumps in what so ever. I am the same now pretty much as that friend of mine. I havent dared to tell anyone due to I will get accused of having an eating disorder. Ive always been very thin so ive been accused of that my whole life by various people but not until now do I actually struggle eating. I have a phobia that I am going to choke on things as well so its not only sensory related. I dont know maybe I had covid and it got on my brain lol. Ive struggled very badly with mood swings ever since that time as well almost like a bipolar person.
Or maybe corona pandemic worries triggered something in me.

I mean it could be an eating disorder — not a restrictive one, but ARFID which is associated with autism and unrelated to body image. If you struggle to gain weight and uncomfortable with foods you could choke on, try drinking those weight gain shakes like Ensure Plus or drinking/eating liquidy things — whole milk, soups, yogurt, things like that. A specialist (therapist?) Might help you work out your phobia, but I know people with sensory issues that are healthy and satisfied eating the same things every day, and there's nothing wrong with that if it works for you

The texture does not affect the taste.

    Eat the damn food.
