Is it normal phones have gotten huge

I had the same Samsung for 5 years its been great and screen never crack even though I drop it many times because I always drop my phone randomly lol but for some reason lately it couldnt be outside anymore it crashed immadiately even if it wasnt that cold and then I had to toss it and get a new phone. My new phone is huge but ive noticed most new phones are. I thought they were big enough 5 years ago and I miss the tiny phones from the 2000s where you could type with one hand not have to use both hands to reach over the whole screen to type messages.
I have noticed how expensive those iphones are. I dont they seem very good they just break all the time on the screen. I dont know why one would need to pay a fortune for a phone. All you do with a phone is stay in touch with people and download fun apps when you are bored. I take pictures but I use my system camera for "real" photography. Phone photography should not be valid as photography. All forms of art needs to be heavily gatekeeped. Just look at how we have no real actors these days like back in the day with stars such as Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn. We are truly in hell now. The world did indeed end in 2012.
