Is it normal my girlfriend got mad at me for cuddling her younger sister?

so me and my girlfriend we're both college students and both home for the summer, i visited her yesterday because it's about a half hour car ride to her parents' place, when i got there however, my girlfriend wasn't home, her parents were at work, and her younger sister opened the door. I don't think she knew who I was, so I thought about just leaving and coming back later, but instead I just said that I was her older sister's boyfriend and she totally believed me and invited me in. I probably should have reconsidered because I had this weird feeling about being home alone with my girlfriend's 12 year old sister. It looked like she had just got out of bed too. The TV was on and I just sat on the couch in the living room, while she poured herself a bowl of cereal. She left the kitchen and sat down kind of uncomfortably close to me on the couch. Then she started to cuddle me without saying anything. I was surprised but didn't fight it and decided to be friendly. I asked her if she was feeling okay and she said yes, so I didn't ask anything after that. After a while I decided that it was just totally harmless and that my girlfriend would never find out because I would be able to hear her either opening the garage or turning the keys to unlock the front door, and I could easily move to a different couch before she saw me in this position. Well apparently I fell asleep and my girlfriend caught me cuddling her sister and now she's mad at me, even though it wasn't my fault, and I was just being a good role model to her sister and comforting her. Why won't she believe that my intentions were completely innocent?

    It is your fault.

    Assuming you're old enough to be here, you are supposed to be an adult, and put a stop to inappropriate situations involving a 12 year old CHILD home alone.

        I was just being nice to her younger sister, I didn't want to be rude. And I wasn't concerned about her finding me because I thought my actions were wrong, I was concerned because she usually jumps to conclusions and gets the wrong impression in her head, like all the time.

    Who doesn't have a cell phone these days? You could have easily called your "girlfriend" to tell her you were at her house or gone to where she was. Why would you just hang around waiting on someone when you had no idea where she was or when she was coming back? I think you saw an opportunity and you just wanted to get cozy with the pre-teen. Did you cop a feel while you were at it? I think your girlfriend should dump you for being so stupid. And then call the cops.

    I think this is more of a grey area. You also do not specify what age you are. I dont think its particularly odd for children to want to do this with older adults. However the fact you thought about moving when your GF came home means you thought it was wrong. Meaning you are being Immoral.

      my girlfriend is 19, I'm 21, and I didn't want to move because I thought what I was doing was immoral, I wanted to move because I knew my girlfriend would get the wrong impression.

    Dude that's totally normal, I do that with all the girls I babysit.
    And on those dark, stormy nights, I open the windows and turn off the heaters. Y'know, then I can tell them the best way to get warm.
