I just realized I dont have a mousepad, nor have I ever.
I dont understand the point of mousepads.
I also dont understand the point of extremely overpriced mouses.

    they were a necessary thing in the daysa the roller ball mouse

    not necessary with an optical tracker mouse

    Some desktop surfaces are too smooth for an optical mouse to register while scanning the surface. Mousepads usually help in cases like that

    I never do either.

    I just don't use my laptop most days.

    They're necessary even for laser mice if your desk has a reflective surface. Glass, marble, way too much polish, or a lot of imperfections, and your mouse could end up either not moving at all or flying around.

    Overpriced mice are usually for gaming as far as I know. They tend to have different DPI settings and tons of extra buttons so you can cheat, and cheat awesomely.
