Is it normal i think some people make too many decision with emotions and not logic

I think some people get too emotional about decisions and forget about logic and reasoning. Feelings change daily and some decisions shouldn't.

  • All humans feel first and reason second. Logic and reasoning are mostly used as tools to justify our feelings. This is why, when something on tv makes you feel strongly in any sort of way (fear especially) you need to be on guard. Because all persuasion/manipulation happens through feeling.

    • Thats a good way to put it simply. People who watch the news all day are always scared or angry about something, that's the point. Its a lot easier to sell snake oil if you can convince people they have a problem that it'll solve.

  • Most people do that sometimes. I just try to stay calm and detach when I make decisions

    • My opinion is they have to sell you on fear because they are losing the policy argument. Its all about imaginary threats.

"The earth is dyin, cops are gonna kill me, racists r murdering us, homophobes will get me, sexism is everywhere! The rich are oppressing us, christians r oppressing us"

They sell them on threats. If you are black you support their party because racists r out there, if you're gay you support because homophobes r there. No one seems to just stop and say wait a minute.. what are they actually planning to do if I vote for these ppl. They take advantage of emotional ppl that dont follow policy. You can tell because if you bring up policies they go blank

      • Pretty much. They go blank on actual policy talk because they don’t look into them or do any research, they just spew rhetoric and scream like toddlers when losing a debate.

The general news media pushes a fear schedule while social media makes sure every dipshit who is too lazy or dopey to think for themselves is rounded up. And these two agendas collectively create mobs of panicky over emotional people who are too wrapped up in it to see they are being used for political control.

  • I notice this a lot. I believe it is human nature. Now that I'm older I really try hard not to make opinions or decisions when I'm emotional. Especially when I'm angry and especially at work.
