Is it normal i lick my cats head to calm her

My cat is a rescue from the streets and she suffers from anxiety. Petting doesn’t calm her so I try to mimic cat behavior. I slowly blink at her then I gently lick the top of her head. She licks back at starts purring.

I know most will find it weird but I’m just imitating cat behavior. Everybody says we have such a tight bond.

I don't think that's normal. Stroking it would've been more acceptable.

I like the slow blink part. Keep doing that. I wouldn't lick the cat, though.

I understand you, OP. It's a bit weird, but it's kind of sweet tbh.

    Cat hair doesn't seem appetizing.

I love cats but they lick their ass and then their fur. Do the math.

I couldn't imagine being a cat and my owner starts randomly licking me. If I was your cat, I'd bite your ass.

    • She likes it. Cats lick each other to calm them.

She has “anxiety” Bc she’s an outside cat. Licking her isn’t going to help. Lol

    • It calms her and she licks my hand in return. I’ll do anything to help my cat, I love her.

She’s upset Bc she’s a prisoner. And you just want an excuse to lick cats.
