So I love cats to death but I cant stand when cats lick themselves it just triggers me and drives me up the wall. I know it's natural but the sound of it is just urg. Idk is this normal?

    Is cats cleaning themselves normal?
    Or, Is you being bothered normal?
    No soap, no shampoo, conditioner, body wash, douche, or deodorant.
    Yet, your cat is cleaner, and fresher then you.
    ....So, is your question really.
    Is jealousy normal.

    Reminds me of when I was a kid and my dad punished me for something. I found a black permanent marker and wrote on the wall "I HAT YOU DAD" Its still there over 20 years later. Every-time I see it I feel like an idiot.

    So long as they have hats, you should overlook the licking.
    and appreciate the fact you dont need to bathe them like a dog.

      Get earplugs. Cats are very clean because they lick themselves. Dog's don't do that. You have to bath them once in a while sometimes more often if they get into some mud or muck when outside such as at a dog park.
