Is it normal i can't get a job?

I am 24 and have been looking for a job for about a year, but no one will hire me. I have 2 associate's degrees but I don't have any work experience outside of a little bit of volunteer experience. And I'm also quite bad at interviewing but I'm getting better. One interviewer even said he would call my references but I don't think he did.

#1 it helps to know people. #2 always apply in person and be confident but humble.

You not having work experience sounds like the main issue. Just need to get that first job and you will be on your way.

Why have you not worked? What types of jobs are you looking for and what kind of pay?

Some employers will talk you down just to make you feel incompetent. These are usually food or grocery jobs or low paying jobs in general

I haven't worked because it would have hurt me financially ( I was on SSI while under 18 or while in college unless proven competent to work but now I have to look for a job or i will be kicked off SSI.) Plus it wouldn't have helped me to do well in school but I didn't realize how hard it was to find a job related to what you went to school for. I recently found out lots of people can't even get a job with their bachelor's degree either. I don't know why I went to school.

yes its true. it is hard to find a job in the field a graduate studied in. But don't let that deter you. Find a job even if its not in your field and work your way up. i do believe school is a waste of time but you have already done it so don't look back in regret. Just carry on and find purpose there is always something to do in this imperfect world.

I mean I'm kind of glad I went to school because I learned and did interesting things there but I just wish they would place you into a job after school of something after you graduate.
