Is it normal i can't figure out my driving dilemma?

So I went driving school practice driving. Everytime I do this they encourage to also practice drive with freinds and family. I am in my mid 20s and have no freinds or family to help me. Part of why I dont have a driver liscense. I only employed a driving school becuase I had no teacher or car to drive with. I just don't understand what the piont of driving schools is if its not to help you learn to drive!

  • I learned entirely with a driving school. I didn't practice with friends or family at all. That was long time ago but I don't see why it would be any different now. May be discuss with them and if you're not happy find a new school.

My advice is to avoid driving with family at all costs. Learning to drive with a relative in the passenger seat in a universally terrible experience. You don't need that in your life.

Just be clear with them that this isn't an option for you and that you will need them to do what you have paid them to do and teach you to drive.

...they encourage you to practice with friends and family because then you get more practice without having to pay. Sorry, but that's pretty fuckin obvious.

It sucks that you have no one to help you, but that doesn't change the fact that most people will practice with friends or family because it is cheaper than doing the entire process with a driving school. You're free to do so, but it will cost. They're trying to be considerate of your finances. I don't understand how this isn't obvious.

    • But I would not be paying a driving school if I realistically had other options.
