Is it normal i can't even grow a potato

I want to learn to plant stuff but I've killed every plant I've ever owned. I think I have the opposite of a green thumb. I stuck a potato in the ground in November and it rotted away. The only thing I seem to be able to grow is mold.

    Try Basil, it’s a very good looking plant and it’s hardy as hell, gets big pretty fast
    Grows great in a pot and does just fine inside

          Cant imagine a simpler sustinance plant than potatoes. Mint is easy as hell but unless you really like mint tea it's practically a weed you need to contain.

        Potatoes are good, try parsnips and sweet potatoes too. Artichoke if you got the climate.

    Shit I've grown a potato because I locked mine up in a cabinet and forgot about it until I has a sprout growing from said cabinet drawer. So naturally I took it out and put it in a lil clay pot. Managed to actually output 2 smaller potatoes from it.

    Only growing one potato was putting all your eggs in one basket, try planting bigger crops.

      The potato was more of an experiment. I think if I planted ten potatoes they'd all die too.

        Are you accidently spiking your potatoes in too much fertilizer? Potatoes will grow in pretty much any crap soil.

    Have you tried a potato farming app on your mobile, look it up on the Play Store or App Store and you'll solve all your problems.

        Don't be silly, it teaches you to grow real eatable potatoes, try looking up, in English, potato cultivation. To show I practise what I preach, I have a potato cultivation app. 🥰
