Is it normal i always look better in the mirror than i do in my mind?

There are days I feel ugly, not ugly as in appearance but as a soul. And so it is probably why I think I look ugly too

But then I stumble upon my reflecrion in a mirror, my imaginative perception of myself gets shattered. I feel a little more confident, secure and reassured. Because I look better in reality than what I thought I did in my mind.

Does that make sense? Is it normal? I wish there was a shrink to tell me what this means

I feel the opposite. I feel great but then I look into the mirror and realize the truth.

We are often our number one criticisers. It makes sense that to yourself, your view of yourself is skewed and monstrous. But the mirror is letting you see how you really look up front, without letting you to resort to using your mind's view of you.
