Is it normal everyone keeps wanting to move in with me?

I have this odd problem. Everyone keeps wanting to move into my apartment. I found this place by chance after being homeless for a month after I lost my job to covid and had to relocate to a new city. However, it seems no matter who it is everyone wants to move into this house. Whats problamatic is that this place is also not livable but since I just got out of a homeless shelter I am not that picky. The roof keeps leaking, the toilet stops flushing because the chain keeps detaching, we have fire ants I am struggling to get rid of, most of the locks and doors are broken, The fridge that was already here is broken, there is no light in most of the rooms, and I am pretty sure there is a major rat infestation that was already here. However, being I am single and just want somewhere with running water and a working port to plug my phone my standards for housing is very low. I feel horrible since every person wants me fix there housing problems and at this point I would be shoving 10 people into a house that is meant for 2-3 people like a lot of poor immigrant familys do and this is not even my property! What do I do? I cant fix everyone's housing crises! I NEED HELP! I told one of my old mentors I was trying to create a shelter to house them all since they all seem to be coming to me wanting solutions and I might have money but I literally have 3 god damn jobs and basically trying to save a drowning small business. I wish these people could save themselves but it does not seem like an at all doable task.

    It's normal
When we do a nice thing people who need help automatically depends on it. And what kinda mentality they are could lead them demanding too.

Tell them you're busy, and then just don't call them.

It's still not your responsibility to find housing for these people. Is this person at least a good worker?

No, you don't have to do that. They need to find a safe environment for their child. They need to find a place in 2 months.

It would be very nice if you could help them, but it sounds like you probably can't help them.

While I understand your intent; and its an honorable intent.

Stop trying to save the world and assist others until you have taken care of yourself and gotten financially and mentally stable 1st.

A reality is that most of those people who want to move in are looking to use you... they don't want to change to become better.

You will be able to find plenty of the few that are interested in changing after you get your economic and mental house in order. Then you can make a real impact.

I’d kill you and use your corpse as a doorstop.
