If you choked and died, how long until someone found you?

If you popped something in your mouth to eat and choked to death on it, how long do you estimate your body would lay there before being discovered?

It would probably be several weeks at least until someone found my corpse. If I were to die I hope that my cat is okay, and that no one blames him if he eats my face like you hear about in the stories.

Right now I honestly don't know who would find me, because I don't really know anyone here my family has been out of town since late September. I just hope someone would find me, because I don't want my cat to starve, and or get dehydrated. Even if my cat had to start eating me he would still run out of water quite soon, and I imagine my meat wouldn't stay fresh for long. My cat's welfare is probably the most concerning thing about my death.

I actually do get heart palpitations, and chest pain from time to time.

My cat is doing well, he'll be 13 in February. These days he seems to be content to spend a lot of time cuddling, and napping. He's probably the most gentle, affectionate and doting feline companion I've ever had. He's better at being by my side better than a lot of dogs I've seen.

I imagine I'll be inconsolable, and lucky if I don't end up in a psych ward when he passes. There are only two people I worry about losing more than this cat!

A tiger tabby, a calico and a tiny weiner dog. All eat me out of house & home! All kinda rescues. The tabby is super fat.
Ill probably be nuts if one of my pets dies. Its rough! But at least you know they had an awesome life.

Interesting to think about. probably a few weeks to a month or 2, my job would probably notice before any relatives, probably they'd just assume i ghosted though... oh wait..

My children would find me almost instantly. The older ones would still be asking me to make them food and drive them to their friend's house, and rummage through my pockets looking for candy money, and the younger ones would probably jump around on my corpse, pulling my hair and shouting in my face. By the time they all realised I was dead the house would be a complete mess, I'm sure.

My ex would probably find me while trying to make me jealous with the girlfriend he got 2 minutes ago because his girlfriend of 5 hours just dumped him and he thinks this time itโ€™s gonna work.

Depends on the day. I'm sure my crew and boss would notice if I missed work without calling in.

If I didn't have animals it would probably be months or however long it takes for a bank to foreclose.

As it stands my dogs would alert my neighbor once they got hungry so probably only a day or two.

I don't live alone, but I have little to no interaction with the people I live with and stay behind a closed door at all times so it would be several days, maybe over a week before anyone might notice

I think the very first people who would notice my missing presence would be my classmates since I very rarely miss class. But they don't know where I live and I doubt they'd be concerned enough to think anything of it. Next would probably be my mother, as she texts me occasionally. If some days go by without a response from me, she'd probably get worried and try to contact my landlord to check on me. My landlord does not live on the same property as me and is currently out of the country, so he'd have to notify one of my housemates to check on me.

If not that, my housemates would probably open my door a couple days after my body starts to smell.

Right now? Like under 3 minutes, everybody is home and my pets are right here.I might even get lucky and have someone save me from choking.

Thank you!! I'm very happy about it. The move drained my account. Turned out my friend needed alot of financial help. Plus a small amount of frivolous spending. I could cheapened it alot if I went to used places but I wanted a fresh new start. So I'm glad I waited till I had my goal fund.

But yea I'm very happy with my new place!

That's awesome! Sometimes you gotta spend money to get shit done. If you're happy now then it was totally worth it.

You'll have to start saving for your motorhome again though! Don't let the dream die.

Dude you should get a job at the oil rigs. You're young so your body will hold up fine. It's hard work but its like 100,000 a year

I know I want to but but I'm in the wrong side of the state, plus I dont have a cdl. I want to get one though, it's a great opportunity. Plus I like hard work. For non truck driving positions do they require experince? So many manual labor jobs do like how am I supposed to get experince then? I used to work at a factory so I'm no stranger to hard work I liked it even.

No dude you dont have to have a CDL to make bank over there. If you do have a CDL you can make like 300,000+ a year up there. But even as a laborer you can find jobs that start at 100,000. I almost moved up there when I was 19. You can look up some ND oil rig jobs on google and apply for them. Thats the place to be if you wanna make money and have no college diploma
