If supreme court rules

The supreme court just ruled that the EPA can not create climate regulations themselves because the constitution says that laws should be made by congress. The EPA will have the authority to enforce climate regulations made by congress but not make them themselves. For a long time now politicians have been using beaurocrats to escape accountability. Now they have to either put a vote on it or not. They cant just blame it on the CDC, FDA, EPA or whatever other 3 letter organization any longer. This affects all government agencies. I believe this ruling is actually in line with the constitution but does that even matter if its a bad ruling?

If the supreme court rules in favor of the constitution are you for it IF the ruling goes against your own agenda? Or is the constitution against your agenda for that matter?

Left wing politicians use the ATF the same way. To make laws they couldn't pass.

    • Yeah the ATF just made a few new rules this year. I forgot what they were but something to do with parts for a AR15 they banned.

No law should exist in America that is out of line with the Constitution. That is why we have courts- to determine the validity of the law.

    • Im surprised this ruling is getting so overshadowed by the roe v wade. It carries over to other 3 letter organizations. If the politicians want to fine companies for high emissions they should put their vote on it so we can vote them out or vote them in. This is their job. But the problem is alot of people now think that since the industrial revolution EXPERTS in these fields should run things and not legislators. For example the belief that people like Dr Fauci should be incharge of the covid response and not our elected legislators.

I honestly think these ppl believe the constitution is outdated. They also use these beaurocrats to escape accountability. Now the rhinos in these parties are easier to spot since they have to stamp their vote on things.

Just cut all the toes out of goverment institutions except the ones we need for logistic reasons like the department of agriculture (we still need it)

I'm talking about the epa and the atf

Depends on the ruling, but yeah. Too much of our government is built on top of the Constitution to just toss it out on a whim, but I do wish we had the balls to argue against it if something doesn't make sense. It's a short document that we're using to enforce a huge set of rules. We can amend the thing if need to, geez.

    • It interesting that when the founding fathers built this country the rhetoric they spoke of was very anti government in alot of ways. They warned against tyranny and government overreach. So hating government has become culture in the USA. Where in Europe the government is more embraced and people think the government is there to help.
