If someone kills themself driving drunk/speeding, i think they deserve it

If someone wants to risk their own life for the sake of saving money on a taxi or 10 minutes off their journey, then that's their business. I personally think it's stupid, but it's their life to risk. If they died then, I'd never be so heartless as to think they deserved it. Everyone does stupid things now and then but it doesn't mean we deserve to die.

But when people drink drive or go over the speed limit, they're deliberately putting other innocent people's lives at risk, just so that they can save a tiny bit of money or time. That is absolutely sickening. And then you have all these complete fucking idiots laughing and joking about it. Now I'm not a perfect law-abiding citizen who thinks the law is perfect, in fact it's grossly injust, and I'll break whatever pointless ridiculous injust law when I can. But risking killing other people, and then laughing and joking about it afterwards, in order to feel like some daredevil rebel is just fucking moronic. And this is accepted by society. People don't realise that these useless fucks are risking their family's lives. They know that they could kill your family member, but they they think it's worth the risk for a few extra bucks/minutes.

So when I hear that someone killed themselves speeding or drink driving (and thankfully didn't take anyone else with them), I just couldn't care less. I don't laugh or anything, but I don't feel any pity for them. I mean, look at the alternative. What if they hadn't crashed and killed themselves? Then they would've kept on speeding/drink driving, and would probably have ended up in another crash, only this time they would've killed someone else instead. So that's always my thinking whenever I hear of a story like that: them killing themselves could've avoided a real tragedy.

PS. I'm not the type to get all angry at killers, rapists, etc. and let my hate get the better of me, falling victim to mob mentality and calling for them to be tortured and killed or anything either. I think the death penalty is barbaric, and the way that prison is used as a form of revenge rather than rehabilitation is immoral and terrible for society. But if these drivers kill themselves while risking other people, then I just think they got their comeuppance.

Speeders kill helpless animals on our roads. I hate these bastards with a passion too.

    • Legally going 60 or 70 mph on the highway is plenty fast to hit and kill those poor animals. Roadkill is a problem I'm not sure can be helped in many situations.

Also, I think well of people who eat roadkill or use the skins. Even taxidermy is better than just letting it rot.

Even if scavengers like vultures came, it would only put them at risk of being hit too.

Killing animals who'd otherwise be safe in the woods via hunting shouldn't be seen as better than eating okay-looking roadkill.

        • I see what you mean. Is this happening in an area with a low speed limit, like a neighborhood?

Speeding on the road in general is bad enough, but speeding in areas with low speed limits is something a real jackass would do.

    What about their families?

Of course I'd never act say anything insensitive in front of their families. Even if a serial killer died I wouldn't say anything insensitive in front of their family. It wasn't the family that did anything wrong. But then what about the families of the potential victims of that wreckless driver? You have to think about them too.

DUI are pathetic. They shouldn't be allowed to drive.

2 beers is enough for a dui, you do realize that right?

I think the pendulum has swung far enough.

Abolish alcohol if it's so damn dangerous. Cell phones, drive throughs, car radios and navigation systems, fuck lets ban driving all together.

You know potential victims and all.

Not everyday you see somebody defend and argue in favor of drunk driving.

some people do not think it is a big deal. Of course if some drunkard hit one of their loved ones, they would flip a shit.

You should never drink and drive. You never know when someone texting and driving is going to run into you and you will get blamed.

That's too much to read but you aren't the moral police in terms of how fast people are allowed to drive and stuff like that. You're probably one of those people who thinks they're better then everyone else because they don't drink or do drugs. Go piss up a rope you dork.

Well if you did read it you'll see that I specifically mentioned that I don't care about people breaking laws, as long as the only people they put in danger are themselves. In fact doing drugs is one of those idiotic laws that I break myself. My point is that people who think they're being some badass rebel for risking other people's lives (rather than just their own lives) are just ignorant scum.

So you think there are a bunch of people out there driving drunk to be badass rebels?

Like driving drunk and killing somebody isn't cool but you shouldn't wish people dead, bad karma.

Well it's more so the people who break the speed limit do it for that reason.

And I don't wish them dead, I would much rather they were just caught and had their license revoked. I'm just saying things could've been much worse if they hadn't died, they could've killed someone else.

The bullshit is a lot of the time people could easily get around without driving. Like if you're gonna get plastered walk or ride a bike. But wishing death or bad things on people for doing things you don't like is bad.

If someone drinks and drives or speeds to excess and ends up killing themselves I figure it's one more idiot out of the gene pool. As long as they don't take an innocent person with them.

  • I feel the same way about speeding drivers when they die as I do for those who overdoes...they did it to themselves. They chose to be stupid by partaking in reckless behavior and died by their ways, so I don’t feel sorry for the fools.

What about if the speed limit for a certain area is stupid?

  • Cuntsiclestick

Yeah when I hear about a drunkie in my town who got hurt driving, I don't feel sorry for them. I've had cousins who would get caught doing this and instead of taking responsibility, they'd just be all teary eyed with the whole "fuck the police" or "fuck [insert name of family member here]" mentality. It's gotten so annoying.

    In other words -
It is hard to feel bad for someone who gets hurt or killed as a result of their own stupidity.

I used to know this lady, she was real cool, but had flipped her SUV over the highway median. She was trying to text or maybe upload another duck face photo to social media. I tried to feel bad for her but kind of realized, "She did it to herself".
    No one else was hurt.
It sucks when things are like that but who else can one really blame?

Hopefully one of the "unjust" laws you chose to break carries the death penalty, and you live in Texas!

Nope use too, then found Lyft but I don't drink any more after I received a DUI. I did my time for it and came to my senses.

Just found it interesting someone can decide which laws are ok for them and then be so callous about human life. I figure, if that's how you want to be then whats good for one is good for all.
