If i live in my mom's walk-in closet, is it worse than a basement?

There's a stigma around living in mom's basement so I'm wondering if I tell a girl I live in my mom's walk-in closet does it sound worse? It has a small sink and a mirror and my mom only uses one side for her clothes. My futon is underneath her clothes so I have the whole other side for entertaining guests.

    Yeah, I think the walk-in-closet is worse, because the words that came to my mind were "cramped and pathetic".

    Sorry, not saying you're actually pathetic, but that was my initial reaction.
