I've had a bad hair cut

And it's bothering me. I've been going to the same hairdressers for a while, took me ages to find one I really like. I'm prescious with my hair, I don't like much doing with it but I love how it is naturally.
The last time I went she did it perfect.
This time I asked for the same and I thought she was doing but it's a tad shorter than last time and I honestly could cry because I'm not liking it.
I got it cut ready for a christening in a couple of weeks.

Will it grow out and then I'll be able to re cut it eventually?

    Your hair won't grow out in time for your christening, but it will grow out in like a few months.

    Hair grows about 9/16 inch per month.
    Always go longer, that's an easier fix.
