Ok. I've breastfed my son for a year, and tasted my own breastmilk. I just don't think it either tastes or smells pleasant at all. I'm not a big milk drinker in general, but I found breastmilk just nasty. Anybody else or is it just me? Maybe it was just my breastmilk that tasted bad. Have you tasted breastmilk and found it delicious?
Doesn't really matter what you think as long as your baby is getting what he needs. :)
Breast milk is delicious! At least I though it was from birth to like two years of age. My mom had to pull me off her breast. But my younger sister didn't want the boobie juice anymore after like two months. It's probably different for everyone. Some people drink goat's milk.
I have a nearly four week old and both my partner and I have tasted by breastmilk and I find it tastes like milk but sweeter, so does my partner.
Whatever it tastes like though my bub loves it!!
The taste and smell all depends on the individual and the individual's diet.
Breastmilk is sweet! Wayyyyyyy better than formula! Have you ever tasted breastmilk compared to formula? But it's also normal for you to think it's gross, everyone has different tastes.

If you're expecting it to taste like cows' milk then of course it will taste odd. As does milk from anything else.
Milk is very different from each animal to the next.
I'm 81 and I have longed to taste human breast milk. Any ideas how to buy safe milk to drink?
Certain foods can alter the taste of breast milk. Change your diet, and see if that helps. It can also make it better for the baby, as many of the nutrients from your food are passed along into the breast milk, as well as some toxins. Caffeine is a big one to avoid.
Oh and I definitely didn't find it delicious. Just way better than formula. But my babies found it delicious!
