I smash stuff

Smash away! I don't see anything wrong with it. As long as you wear protective eye gear and I would recomend long sleeved shirts and jeans with some good boots! Gloves for clean up and away you go. If the parents of other kids don't like it thats just something you have to deal with. It would be the same way if you raised snakes or spiders as a hobby. Some parents wouldn't like it and they would tell there kids to stay away from you.

its a really good idea as it doesn't hurt other people which is what a lot of people do with their frustrations... However it is not likely to be perceived as normal...

Me and my mates used to do it often when we were younger, used to smash shit like get a hammer and smash up toys/toy cars and stuff, also used to set them on fire, whenever there was TV's etc dumped on the wasteland near my house we would smash them up with a sledge hammer, I don't see what's so weird about it, perfectly normal imo.

your smashing stuff doesn't sound normal at all. i used to throw stuff or knock things to the ground when my family really pissed me off and were really making me angry. but i never intentionally bought old junk so i could smash it.... with a tiny hammer??

When I get mad i smah holes in the wall. usually by kicking. Ive made about 3 holes ( i dont get mad too often)

it's okay as long as you don't smash living things or other people's stuff. my suggestion if this turns to a problem is learn how to play an instrument. sometimes it gives and releases more powerful feelings than smashing.

There are companies in Oriental countries such as Japan and Korea where frustrated, work-stressed people can go, pay a fee and smash things. You know, old PCs, screens, TVs and other assorted bric a brac. Very therapeutic apparently.

I went through a phase like this once. My girlfriend's brother always used to bring home random junk for him and I to smash together, throw eachother into, etc. We even went so far as to make our own smashing tools. My choice? A baseball bat with nails driven into it. His choice? An aluminum baseball bat. Friends of ours would even ask us to destroy stuff in their house to get rid of it/get it out of the way.

Cleanup was a bitch though.

All in all, it's just harmless fun. We never did it out of anger, mostly boredom. Here's a helpful tint. Be wary of smashing tvs, especially older sets. They tend to explode and throw glass everywhere, I caught a glass shard in the arm because of a stupid tv we smashed.

Well, i guess the smashing thing works for you pretty well, and it releases your anger lol. But, if it is causing some parents telling their kids not to be friends with you, then you might want to stop, so that you can become friends with them again. You shouldn't keep doing it if you want your friends back.

Man, that must really suck if the other people's parents won't let you guys be friends over smashing lol. So yeah, maybe it is not causing harm to property and other people harm, but I would stop, if the whole smashing objects is going that far...
