Yeah basically i hate it whenever anyone tries to interrupt the cycle of life. I mean whenever I see a suicide prevention resource it creates a spark in my brains which causes the rest of my petrol-coated brain to blow up. Maybe it goes against my strict anti-cendorship policy, maybe im a horrible person or maybe I get too angry at things that arent remotely problems
This falls into the "not even remotely a problem" camp. If they bother you so much, don't call them, it's that easy
With all these things, they could be small scale massively important. Like for example out of 1000 suicides maybe they prevent 3, where those 3 people just were really isolated and needed that phone call. Still worth it, I reckon. It’s sort of like having life jackets on a boat. Most people can swim or tread water, but some will drown.
Things really can turn around for people though. One could be really depressed and decide not to kill themselves and then next thing you know they meet the woman of their dreams and get a better career. It happens.
Why is that your standard? People have always killed eachother and raped women throughout history but we dont think that should be allowed.

I can just about guarantee you wouldn't exist without having benefitted from some form of human intervention. Maybe you've never had a surgery or any of that kind of shit but bet money one of your many ancestors is alive because of some form of intervention, be it medical or morale.
Humans aren't great at reproduction, 1 live birth at a time on average vs. practically every other mammal that has like 5 at a time. But we are great at innovation and intervention.
