I'm afraid of big things underwater..

Back when I was about eight I already had a fear of things underwater but it all got a hell of a lot worse when my Jetske capsized in shallow murky water surrounded by trees stumps. It was the worst experience of my life curling up into a ball with my lifejacket closing my eyes until I washed up on shore. Waiting for my jetSki to wash up with me. Even just last week I was going in some shallow water and out of nowhere this tree stump appeared right beneath me, and I have never clutched something so hard then that moment. I get a panic attack I freak out and gets hard to breathe I'm just hoping there's someone out there that understand how terrifying this is...

I cannot go in ANY body of water due to fear of things under the surface - including trees.

Ever since my car accident I have had an increased alertness to my surroundings, so normal to those who have experienced trauma

I know how it feels. Even if i swim in a bathtub, shallow water, even Jacuzzis, i fear a big seamonster.

My hot older sister loves the beach, laying out in her latest, tiny bikini and tanning her amazing body, but..Will only go in the water maybe up to her knees, if that. Always says she hates stuff on the bottom, and thinks something's going to come up and grab her. I have fun sometimes going behind her and touching her lower leg, making he freak out..

  • Yes, this fear is totally normal. Some people wouldn't dare step in water!
