The average person on this site is odd and not a little odd, a lot odd and neurodivergent, therefore asking if something is normal to them will not always give you the correct answer. Some of these people are the most abnormal people I've talked to in my life.

This is the best forum I've found. Just big enough to get fresh people small enough to recognize the regulars.
The topic of so called normalcy attracts the abnormal like flies to sugar water.
Normal people don't question whether something is normal, and have no reason to come here. This is the worst possible place to ask if something is normal.
Theres a few dudes on here that write a big long productive explanation. Then the rest of us say something stupid
So if asking if something is normal is abnormal, would asking if something is abnormal be normal? Perhaps a site called “Is It Abnormal” would be the best solution to the paradox. Then people could phrase their questions in the form of an answer (like on Jeopardy) and there could be be cash prizes for answering correctly. Except they’d be asking correctly, not answering. That wouldn’t work would it. Never mind. Normalcy is relative to the context in which an experience is occurring. Therefore nothing here is going to be normal. Ever.
I’m normal. I come to IIN for the same reason most people go to the zoo. It’s just more colorful, outlandish, and festive than everyday life.
I feel like for the most part people are asking if something is "okay or acceptable" rather than normal but I could be wrong.
And yet people still think that they can get serious help to a problem here, when a real professional should be dealing with it. You get what you pay for. Go figure.
